CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT

Portugal is one of the best European countries to live in, and offers foreign investors the possibility to apply for a residence permit through investments, namely the purchase of property in Portuguese territory.

Holders of Residence Permits for Investment Activities are entitled to family reunification, access to permanent residence permits, as well as Portuguese nationality, in accordance with the legislation in force.

Known as Golden Visa, this program allows citizens of countries outside the European Union, also, free movement in the Schengen Area.

Obtaining this residence permit presupposes an investment in Portugal, maintained for a minimum of 5 years.
